A Holistic Approach to Supporting your Immune System in the time of COVID-19

Updated: May 14, 2020

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted everyone’s lives. The other day, I met with Drs. Greg Plotnikoff and Kat Hopkins from Minnesota Personalized Medicine to discuss holistic approaches to supporting the immune system.

Watch as Dr. Plotnikoff demonstrates a flow energy maneuver that can be utilized for blocked flow, a common source of persistent pain whether it be physical, emotional or both. During this time of so much grief and loss, you may find this simple exercise helpful, particularly since it requires no equipment and can be done anywhere.

We also discuss:

  • Maintaining a schedule and restoring the circadian rhythm

  • Managing the emotional impacts of quarantine

  • Qigong, managing energy and flow exercises

  • The importance of fascia

  • Medicinal mushrooms

  • Nutraceuticals (eg: vitamin D, melatonin, curcumin, glutathione, elderberry and N-acetyl-cysteine (NAC))

  • Repurposed medications (eg: low dose naltrexone)

  • COVID drugs currently in clinical trials

Remember….. Fundamentals first, then pharmaceuticals!
